  • Description
  • Specifications

Flat washers distribute load, protect mating surfaces, and provide material separation within a bolted joint.

G-Fast supplies flat washers per print or specification across a full range of sizes, materials, and standards including stainless steel, copper, carbon steel, and hardened alloy steel.

From standard dimensions to non-standard thicknesses and specialty materials, we quote directly from your defined requirements.

What is Flat Washer?

A flat washer is a smooth, non-locking disc placed under a bolt head or nut to increase bearing surface and distribute clamp load. Its primary functions include load distribution, surface protection, reduction of localized stress, and separation of dissimilar materials where required. Flat washers do not provide locking they support the integrity of the joint.

Fasteneering® Insight

Washer material must match the fastener and application.

  • Stainless fastener → stainless washer
  • Galvanized assembly → galvanized washer
  • Hardened assembly → hardened washer

Mismatched materials introduce galvanic corrosion and premature failure.

Applications

  • Structural assemblies
  • Machinery and equipment
  • Automotive systems
  • Electronics
  • Construction
  • OEM and MRO environments

USA Advantage

  • Domestic sourcing improves quality control and traceability
  • Reduced lead times
  • Reliable compliance with U.S. standards

How G-Fast Supports Flat Washer Programs

G-Fast supplies flat washers produced to customer specifications and recognized industry standards.

For applications requiring specific materials, finishes, or performance requirements, we review supplied drawings or specifications for manufacturability, feasibility, and cost efficiency prior to production.

Where appropriate, we may suggest alternative materials, required tolerances, or production methods. Any recommended changes are reviewed and approved by the customer’s engineering team and incorporated into updated documentation before manufacturing begins.

Sizes and Dimensions

Flat washers are defined by inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and thickness.

  • Metric: M2 through M64
  • Imperial: No. 4 through 2"
  • Form A: Narrow OD
  • Form B: Standard OD
  • Form C / G: Wide OD
  • ISO / DIN / ASME / ASTM / SAE / USS standards

Custom dimensions are quoted directly from print.
